I chose to be a teacher more than 36 years ago, when I accepted an invitation from a former high school teacher and applied for what would become my first job, teaching Electronics to high school students in Brazil. Since then, I have had the privilege of interacting with thousands of students, from different levels – from high school to graduate school – and different disciplines – from Electrical Engineering to Computer Science – in different countries (Brazil, Spain, U.S., India, Austria, France) and different languages (Portuguese, Spanish, English).
In retrospect, I am happy with my decision of becoming a teacher: I do what I enjoy and I enjoy what I do.
